At Meli, we believe every child deserves the best start in life. As the NDIA Partner delivering the Early Childhood Approach in the Barwon region, we support children aged 0-9 years with developmental delay or disability—and their families—to access the supports they need to thrive.

We’re currently looking for a Team Leader - Participant Support to join our Early Childhood team. This role plays a key part in leading, coaching and supporting a team of dedicated Early Childhood Practitioners as they deliver high-quality, family-centred support to participants of the NDIS.

About the Role

As a Team Leader - Participant Support, you will:

  • Provide supervision, coaching and guidance to Early Childhood Practitioners, helping them deliver best practice support for children and their families.
  • Support staff to embed a family-centred, strengths-based approach across all areas of service delivery.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of Participant Support by overseeing onboarding, practice reviews, and case consults.
  • Lead the implementation of changes directed by the NDIS strategy and guidelines and support the team to adapt confidently.
  • Monitor caseloads using KPI and workload tools, identifying and addressing risk where needed.
  • Contribute to operational functions including reporting, audits, and data tracking to ensure contractual compliance with the NDIA.
  • Build meaningful relationships with community services and lead strategies that promote inclusion and participation for children with developmental concerns or disabilities.

What We're Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • Qualification in Early Childhood, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Psychology or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development for children aged 0-9 years. Strong knowledge of the needs of with developmental delay, concern or disability and their families. Strong knowledge of NDIS legislation and systems highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide positive leadership and supervision (with a focus on support and accountability) within a complex service delivery environment and ensuring a culture that aligns with Meli values. • Demonstrated ability to deliver program objectives including meeting KPI’s and operational requirements.
  • Ability to develop links and build partnerships with other professionals and networks within the community.
  • Understanding of the purpose and expectations of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and demonstrated commitment to contributing to a child safe organisation in both practice and culture.
  • Excellent written skills and ability to produce high quality written communication.
