Position Profile: Join a dynamic network of Health Promotion professionals who work in partnership with key stakeholders to contribute towards community health and wellbeing in the Wheatbelt region.

As a Health Promotion Officer, you will provide sustainable and equitable health promotion programs that meet local needs using sound theory and evidence-based practice to address priority health issues. Priority areas include tobacco control, physical activity, nutrition, mental health, and injuries, with a focus on prevention and early intervention using skills in planning, program management, partnership-working, capacity building, evaluation, and policy. Our priority populations are youth, elderly, Aboriginal people, pregnant women, and people at risk of chronic disease. There are current vacancies for a Health Promotion Officer in Northam (Avon and Central Wheatbelt health district), Narrogin (Southern Wheatbelt health district) and Merredin (Eastern Wheatbelt health district).
