BePositive provides a bespoke graduate program, where you will receive training and supervision tailored to your needs from experienced supervisors. Our program includes regular supervision, the opportunity to observe senior therapists, receive in person supervision with your clients and an extensive professional development program.
The Role
As an Occupational Therapist at BePositive Therapy you will work with clients in their homes or other community environments.
Your duties will include:
Conducting assessments, such as functional capacity review, family support plans, assistive technology, home modification.
Report writing and case noting.
Attendance at client case conferencing.
Designing and implementing therapy plans to assist clients to reach their goals.
Receipt of weekly supervision and providing supervision to direct supervisees.
Skills and Experience
Current AHPRA registration
Strong evidence of well-developed communication skills
An ability to work autonomously.
Demonstrated experience working in OT paediatrics
Well-developed time management and organisational skills
A desire to learn and commit to regular continuing professional development.
A commitment to engagement in quality improvement activities
An ability to mentor others and role model quality performance
An ability to speak and write in English
Desired (but certainly not essential)
Knowledge of the NDIS or Aged Care
Experience working in the NDIS or Aged Care

You won’t be just a number or a name at BePositive. An existing team of approximately 50 therapists, means that we are small enough to give you the attention you need and large enough to offer your variety and advancement in your chosen area. You will be nurtured in a 12 month early career program, with dedicated 1:1 mentoring, an extensive in house education program run by highly experienced therapists, and personalised support at appointments, until you are ready. At the end of your program, you should expect to feel confident, comfortable, and skilled in occupational therapy disability assessment and treatment.
Your case load will consist mostly of NDIS clients, located close to your home. You are offered the flexibly of working from home or office or a mixture of both.
