Position Purpose

The Day Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards during operating hours. Working between 12pm and 3pm, this role ensures restrooms, kitchenettes, and common areas remain clean, stocked, and presentable throughout the day. The Day Cleaner plays a key part in supporting operational efficiency and providing a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Tasks (12pm–3pm)

• 12pm–1pm

o Check and clean all restrooms:

▪ Replenish hand towels and toilet paper

▪ Ensure toilets, sinks, and mirrors are clean and streak-free

• 1pm–2pm

o Wipe kitchen surfaces on all levels (1, 2, 4)

o Turn on dishwashers

• 2pm–3pm

o Wipe down surfaces in the Level 1 showroom

o Perform a scheduled coffee machine clean (rotate levels daily)

Ongoing Responsibilities

• Monitor cleaning consumable stock levels (e.g., toilet paper, hand towels, soap, sanitiser)

• Notify management when stock is low and assist with ordering if required

• Respond to light ad hoc cleaning requests during shift hours

• Follow all safety protocols when handling chemicals and equipment

• Report maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly to the Facilities Manager

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in commercial or corporate cleaning preferred

• Understanding of hygiene practices and chemical safety

• Good communication skills and attention to detail

• Ability to follow task lists and work independently

• Reliable, punctual, and well presented

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry light to moderate cleaning equipment

• Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods

• Comfortable working in a busy, active environment

Shift Details

• Shift Time: 12:00pm – 3:00pm

• Days: Monday to Friday (unless otherwise specified)

• May be required to support ad hoc cleaning needs
