You will be working outdoors in a small team environment undertaking a variety of tasks including assisting with pruning, removing trees and other vegetation.

Key Requirements:

This position could be the start of your career in Arboriculture. The job profile isn't gender specific but will require you to be fit, enthusiastic and hard working. A career progression is available with training to operate machinery and working at heights. This role will commence as full time casual and progress to a full time permanent position.

Suitable Employees will be trained as EWP Squirrel Operators.

You must have a current manual C class license to apply.

Your consent to undertake a prestart or random drug and alcohol screening test.

White card (must be obtained before start of work)

Your own reliable transport to commute to work everyday.

Induction and training will be provided to operate a variety of tools and machinery, including driving vehicles. We will induct you in the use of woodchippers, and other machinery. We will assist you to obtain qualifications to operate chainsaws and hedge trimmers etc. In time we may also assist you to obtain a traffic management qualification and provide first aid. You will be required to provide ground support and other labouring tasks as part of your daily duties.

Previous experience in Arboriculture is not a requirement, but it may be an advantage.

About The Company:

GTS provides, tree maintenance & vegetation management to Local and State government. We have, a strong focus on safety & excellence towards customer service. The work involves maintaining vegetation around powerlines. We also undertake tree pruning and tree removals in parks and on verges. We use a large variety of Elevated Work Platforms from 5m to 30m and articulated loaders to feed large chippers.
