The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a driven Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery SRMO/Surgical HMO3 to join the team at Northern Health.
This position is 6 months in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery + 6 months in the surgical HMO stream. Alternatively, the successful candidate may be offer 12 months in this role.
The Surgical Stream at Northern Health offers a dedicated 4-term year of surgical experience including rotations in general surgery, speciality surgery, and emergency. There is opportunity of HMO3+ applicants to complete rotations in Intensive Care, as well as experience working as a registrar in the Acute General Surgery Unit (AGSU).
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Must hold a current VISA with work rights if not a citizen
- Undergraduate medical qualification as a first degree is essential - MBBS, MD, PhD or equivalent
- Must have satisfactorily completed at least two years of postgraduate hospital experience in an Australian, New Zealand (or recognised equivalent hospital)
