We're partnering with a rapidly growing Australian consultancy delivering high-impact data and analytics solutions across a range of industries. As demand for their services continues to grow, they’re looking for a Senior or Lead Data Engineer with deep Databricks experience to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing modern data solutions, working closely with clients, and shaping the future of cloud-first data platforms.

What you’ll be working on:

• Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and models using Databricks and Spark (including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, etc.)
• Developing and optimising ETL/ELT workflows in distributed environments
• Building customer 360 platforms, BI/reporting layers, and cloud-based applications
• Enhancing existing systems using Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Collaborating with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders
• Producing technical documentation and contributing to solution architecture
• Ensuring platform performance, security, and compliance
• Staying current with developments in cloud data engineering

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years of experience in data or software engineering, with recent focus on cloud-based solutions
• Strong hands-on expertise in Databricks and Spark-based processing
• Proficient in SQL and Python (or PySpark), with solid experience building and maintaining data pipelines
• Skilled in cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS
• Deep understanding of data modelling and distributed system performance
• Comfortable working in Agile environments and directly with clients
• Strong communication skills and a consulting mindset
