The Firm

Our client is a major commercial law firm operating across Australia. Whilst they have a high standard of quality work they still pride themselves on their intimate boutique feel. The Role

Our client is looking to recruit a corporate/commercial lawyer with at least 2 years plus post admission experience. You will work closely with two dynamic (and lovely) partners on corporate/commercial matters including:

• Private M&A
• confidentiality, non-disclosure and exclusivity agreements
• pre-sale documents including heads of agreement, MOUs and letters of intent
• competition law advice and merger clearances
• regulatory and business licensing advice
• liquor and gaming compliance
• club amalgamations & de-amalgamations
• intellectual property registration and transfer
• contract novation and assignment
• corporate governance and shareholder agreements

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• at least 2 years plus post admission experience in the area of corporate/commercial law
• advantageous is experience assisting clients in the hospitality, leisure, hotels, clubs sectors
• strong drafting skills and commercial nous
• excellent communication skills
• a passion for forging strong client relationships
• a pro-active approach, drive and a strong work ethic
