We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our team in Australia. This role offers an exciting and rewarding career opportunity for individuals who are passionate about finance and accounting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our cash flow, financial operations and ensuring compliance with Australian regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Australian payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.

Manage supplier payments and accounts receivable in consultation with the Indonesian Finance Team and the Head of Finance.

Prepare and process monthly accrual and prepayment journals to produce accurate and meaningful management reports.

Ensure financial stability and liquidity of the Australia subsidiaries, including forecasting cash requirements, optimizing cash utilization, and implementing effective cash management strategies.

Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, including inter-entity transactions and transfer pricing matters.

Attend to monthly compliance obligations for Australian entities.

Account for foreign currency exchange rate movements in monthly management reports.

Manage project reporting by accruing project revenue and expenses, generating WIP reports, and automating job reporting processes.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

6 – 8+ years in a similar role

Bachelors in Accounting and qualified CA or CPA

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

High levels of initiative and self-awareness

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commercial thinking and decision-making skills

Desirable Skills:

Exposure to consolidated and general-purpose financial reporting

Familiarity with Chinese Mandarin

Knowledge of compliance and audit obligations in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, and Indonesia

Experience in automating finance functions and accounting processes

Proficiency in Fathom, XERO, and Workflow Max
