About the role

In this full-time role based in Balwyn , VIC ,you will provide clinical support to skilled dental professionals, ensuring efficient and effective patient care. With focus on delivering exceptional customer service, you will play a key part in helping our patients as well as in the smooth operation of the clinic.

What you'll be doing

Assisting dentists during procedures by handing instruments, dental materials, and providing clinical support as needed

Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment for restorative, orthodontic and surgical procedures.

Preparing treatment rooms for patient appointments

Greeting and welcoming patients, managing some front desk duties, and scheduling appointments

Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation including photo records and digital scans

Liaising with dental laboratories

Ensuring the dental practice adheres to all relevant health and safety regulations

Teaching and training junior clinical staff on site

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient care with calm and confident manner

Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously when required

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sterilisation

Willingness to learn and expand your skills within the dental field

Certificat 3 or Certificate 4 or equivalent in dental assisting
