With a strong brand, engaged team, and clear values, we are now seeking a skilled and hands-on Business Manager to lead the day-to-day running of the firm and drive its continued expansion.

About the Role:
This is a pivotal role for a senior legal individual who is already in or ready to step into a broad business management position. Operating remotely with a fully remote team and reporting directly to the founder and key personnel, this role will take over much of the current CEO's operational responsibilities and lead & oversee the legal consultant lawyers case flow, administrative team, financial, HR, and systems management of the practice. You will be the strategic and operational engine behind the firm, working closely with our lawyers, support teams, and key external partners.The Business Manager role has potential to evolve, in due course to co-CEO position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the firm's day-to-day business operations across all practice areas

• Oversee operational systems with our Operations Administrator, legal tech platforms, and administrative workflows (including LEAP software, productivity dashboards, appointment systems, and call centre tools)

• Manage HR processes, recruitment, onboarding, training and staff development initiatives

• Coordinate budgets, financial forecasting, and performance reporting in collaboration with external accountants

• Work with leadership to execute and refine the firm’s 2–3 year growth plan

• Oversee compliance, risk, and governance functions to ensure ethical and legal best practices

• Lead practice-wide initiatives including marketing support, project management, and service delivery excellence

• Provide day-to-day leadership and troubleshooting support to the Operations Administrator and wider team

• Create a positive, nurturing and growth culture for everyone in the team

• Maintain strong internal communications and ensure a high-performing, solutions-driven culture

Qualifications & Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in a senior operations, business management, or practice management role (legal industry an advantage)

• Strong commercial acumen and an ability to think both strategically and operationally

• Experience leading teams and managing business functions such as HR, finance, systems, and compliance

• Highly organised and process-driven, with excellent follow-through

• Strong understanding of legal platforms such as LEAP or similar

• Experience with AI and vision to lead strong AI integration into all aspects of the business

• Experience working with growing or multi-site professional services businesses is an advantage
