Role: Payroll Officer
Length: 4-week temporary role
Start date: Wednesday 21st May 2025, with some adhoc shifts before start date - 09:30am - 16:30pm
Location: 4 days in the office, 1-day WFH – Sydney CBD
Salary: Up to $42 per hour + super

ABOUT THE COMPANY
A global entertainment company is on the lookout for a Payroll professional to join their dynamic team in Sydney. Responsible for some of the world’s most exciting events, this business is fast-paced, high-energy, and constantly evolving.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on, data-focused temporary position providing cover while the current Payroll professional is on leave. You’ll manage the end-to-end payroll process across multiple regions, coordinating inputs, liaising with external providers, and ensuring accurate reporting. It’s an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise into a fast-moving environment that values precision and efficiency.

DUTIES

• Process payroll related data for outsourced payroll providers
• Manage new starters, terminations, pay changes, and bonuses
• Review payroll reports and ensure appropriate approvals
• Provide clear and accurate instructions to external providers
• Collect payroll inputs manually via emails and verbal updates
• Liaise with finance for payroll uploads
• Oversee leave management, including long service and terminations

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 2 to 3+ years of payroll experience
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex inputs
• Experience working with external payroll providers
• Familiarity with Australian payroll
• Exposure to APAC or international payroll (a bonus)
• Confident in manually verifying and managing payroll data
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
