Multiple opportunities exists for experienced professionals to contribute to a high performing government Shared Services Hub, delivering payroll and finance services. With a growing client base and strong reputation for high-quality service delivery, they are expanding its project capability to support complex payroll remediation and business improvement initiatives.
About the Role
We are seeking skilled Assistant Directors to support delivery of payroll related project work through until June 2026. This includes leading payroll remediation activities, engaging with client agencies and driving continuous improvement in a multi-agency service delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support payroll remediation projects, applying structured project management methodologies
- Analyse complex payroll data to identify issues, root causes, and viable remediation pathways
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and client agencies to coordinate project milestones and deliverables
- Prepare, interpret, and manage data using advanced Excel and analytical tools
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives across the Shared Services Hub
- Support testing and business analysis activities related to maintenance releases or system upgrades
About You - You will bring
- Strong project management experience, ideally in payroll or HRIS environments
- Experience with system testing or business analysis
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capability in high volume, data-driven environments
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with data analysis tools
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Knowledge of complex payroll environments
- Experience with Aurion systems is highly desirable
- AGSVA clearance desirable
