About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Scrum Master to guide and support cross-functional delivery teams working on a major federal program through to 30 June 2026. This is a fast-paced, Agile-led environment with strong collaboration across project, engineering, and business teams.
You’ll work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technical Leads to ensure teams deliver against sprint goals while embedding Agile values, improving team dynamics, and removing impediments. The role will also involve coaching stakeholders on Agile best practices, fostering a continuous improvement mindset, and contributing to scaled delivery models.
This contract role offers:

• Initial engagement through to 30 June 2026
• 2 x 12-month extension options
• Competitive rate: $140–$145/hr (incl. super)
• Hybrid working arrangements (Canberra preferred, other states considered)

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives)
• Identify and eliminate team impediments to maintain delivery velocity
• Champion Agile principles and foster a culture of collaboration and transparency
• Track team metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Build trusted relationships with business and technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a clear and prioritised backlog
• Ensure alignment to broader program timelines and governance structures

Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master in complex Agile project environments
• Proven ability to coach teams and stakeholders in Agile methods and delivery culture
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
• Excellent facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to lead and influence across distributed teams
• Experience in large government or enterprise delivery environments
• Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain Baseline clearance
