Purpose of the role
The Social Media and Partnerships Lead plays a pivotal role in driving awareness, engagement, and conversion through social media and ambassador/influencer strategies. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver best-in-class content, support paid media efforts, and manage brand storytelling across digital platforms.
This role requires a self-starter with strong content instincts, excellent communication skills, and a finger on the pulse of social trends and platform innovations (especially across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube). You’ll bring our brand to life online and help deepen our connection with both new and existing communities.
Core Responsibilities
Lead Organic Social: Content Creation, Media Management + Scheduling (30%)
Plan and maintain the content calendar in alignment with campaign moments, product launches, and key cultural events.
Manage the content drive/assets and ensure all visual content complies with relevant safety regulations (e.g., Safe Sleep), and all assets are organised and tagged appropriately.
Create and schedule engaging organic content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, Facebook VIP Groups and YouTube.
Write engaging captions and content for posts, stories, and reels that align with the brand voice and drive engagement.
Monitor comments and community engagement, responding or escalating as needed. CS Support is provided for engagement.
Lead Gifted + Ambassador Programs (30%)
Build and maintain relationships with key brand ambassadors, gifted creators, and VIP community members.
Develop briefs and assign content creation tasks aligned with business objectives.
Identify and manage gifting and affiliate opportunities, ensuring timely product send-outs and usage of proper affiliate links where required.
Ensure ambassador content complies with brand guidelines and aligns with campaign themes
Support Paid Media (20%)
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to brief paid media assets and deliver creatives to the Paid Media Agency.
Support the development of content optimized for performance across paid media platforms.
Ensure creative meets objectives for revenue and acquisition while staying on brand and trend.
Reporting + Analysis of Channels (10%)
Track performance metrics across all social media and influencer campaigns.
Regularly report insights to the Marketing Manager, identifying opportunities to improve reach, engagement, and conversion.
Assist in shaping future campaigns based on past performance.
Ad-Hoc Marketing Support + Activation (10%)
Assist with content for PR outreach, influencer seeding, and community-building activities as needed.
Support the creation of blog content and other marketing materials that help tell the Riff Raff story, educate and build emotional connection with potential customers.
Jump into ad-hoc marketing projects and launches when required (Including but not limited to pop-ups, expos and activations).
Key Skills & Attributes
2–5 years' experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing.
Strong storytelling and copywriting skills across multiple content types and platforms.
Familiarity with analytics tools like Meta Insights, Instagram Insights, Google Analytics, etc.
Experience with influencer management, UGC coordination, or ambassador programs.
Experience dealing with international markets is advantageous.
Proficiency in G-Suite, Canva, scheduling tools (e.g., Creator Studio, Hootsuite), Asana, and Shopify preferred.
Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
A trendspotter: you live and breathe social media and know how to turn a trending sound into scroll-stopping content.
