RM Group is seeking a Civil Engineer for a medium sized consultancy business based in Victoria’s Northern Region who specialises in Design and Construction management of infrastructure projects, municipal road and infrastructure works, renewable energy projects land development, water industry and agriculture.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer and/or Engineering Manager to join the team.

This is a Permanent role paying up to $160k + Company car, + Super + possible future bonuses depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil works for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, hard stand, concrete design, land development and major road works.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, construction plans, method statements, and specifications in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Complete budget estimations, procurement planning, and schedule management.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineers.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, clients, and local authorities to resolve construction issues and facilitate smooth project progress.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and municipal standards.
• Contribute to risk assessments, design reviews, and value engineering discussions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer in Victoria
• Experience in civil construction, ideally focused on water or wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, or municipal infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of concrete works, excavation, geotechnical aspects, underground utilities, and structural foundations.
• Min 10 years’ experience in civil infrastructure industry including design and contract management
• Proficient in using design and drafting software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar)
• Solid understanding of construction safety standards (OSHA, HSE, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of AustRoads and Department of Transport and Planning (DTP)standards
