This is a 2-year fixed-term role on a 2:1 roster, where you will work as a Civil Site Supervisor for one of our clients—a rapidly growing consultancy with multi-disciplinary teams.

In this pivotal position, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of civil works on a Tailings Storage Facility with one of their gold-producing clients, ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met on site.

What You’ll Be Doing

Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of contractors, providing clear direction and ensuring tasks are completed to the required standard.

Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or delays in a timely manner.

Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaborate with the Project Director, Construction Manager, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective construction plans.

Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Provide on-site training and mentorship to construction workers, promoting skill development and a positive safety culture.

Participate in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation activities.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Civil Site Supervisor or a similar role in the mining sector, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience.

Comprehensive understanding of civil construction processes, materials, and equipment, and a record of delivering projects that include bulk earthworks, drainage requirements, etc.

Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and crews simultaneously.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with team members, clients, and subcontractors.

Thorough knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, and a demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
