We currently have an opportunity for a Gym Supervisor to join our team at the Kiama Leisure Centre.
In the role of Gym Supervisor, you will:
- Ensure that all patrons using the gym and equipment do so in a safe manner
- Liaise and communicate with Centre Manager and Fitness Team Leader regarding day-to-day operations in the gymnasium
- Participate as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner.

- Hourly pay rate from $38.96 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)
- Plus penalty rates in accordance with the award
- 11.5% superannuation.
What you'll need to be successful in the role...
- Fitness Leader Registration with Fitness NSW or Fitness Australia
- Certificate IV - Personal Trainers or Gym Instruction Certificate
- A current First Aid Certificate
- Experience designing, implementing and evaluating fitness personal programs
- Experience working with minimal supervision
- An understanding of requirements of working with weights and cardio equipment
- An understanding of general maintenance requirements of fitness equipment
- A flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
- The ability to communicate positively with customers and Centre staff
- The ability to work effectively with people of a variety of ages and fitness needs at any one time.
Pre-Employment Checks
This is a child-related position. You will be required to provide Council with your valid and current Working with Children Check (WWCC) number as a condition of your employment. In addition, your employment will be subject to a National Criminal Record Check to determine your suitability for employment.
All employees and other workers must uphold and promote safety and wellbeing for children and young people.
