Accredited training site for the SPUMS Diploma of Hyperbaric Medicine – complete the two-week ANZCA course plus a six-month placement and graduate with the diploma (project support provided)

Consultant team of anaesthetists, emergency physicians and physicians; strong research focus on radiation injury, inflammatory diseases & TBI

No nights or weekends (0700 – 1800 hrs, Mon–Fri). After six months,, you can opt into paid after-hours rosters.

The role

Manage and review out-patients & in-patients referred for HBOT (radiation injury, failed grafts/flaps, ischaemia, diving emergencies)

Conduct recreational & commercial dive medicals (once competent)

Perform clinical documentation in our EMR, order diagnostics & prescriptions

Contribute to the wound care clinic led by a senior wound nurse

Collect data for research projects and teach medical / nursing students

About you

MBBS (or equivalent) + AHPRA registration (Level 3 supervision available – IMGs welcome)

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Demonstrated teamwork, communication & clinical decision-making skills

Interest in critical care, diving medicine or wound management advantageous

What we offer

$100,000 – $135,000 + 11% super + salary packaging

SPUMS & ANZCA course fees reimbursed (conditions apply)

On-site research mentorship and opportunity to publish

Located on the campus of Wesley Hospital, a riverside location opposite Auchenflower station (5 min to CBD)
