About the team
The Student Services Assistant is a key, frontline member of the Student Administration team. The Student Administration Team is the first point of enquiry. Our team is dedicated to providing efficient, accurate, friendly, and professional front counter and telephone service to students, staff, and the general public. We also offer comprehensive administrative support to staff within UQ College, ensuring smooth and effective operations.
About this opportunity
To be considered for this opportunity, you will be:
A proactive individual with a strong commitment to enhancing the student experience through high-quality customer service, including managing enquiries, scheduling appointments, and resolving issues related to information resources.
Knowledgeable and resourceful, maintaining a thorough understanding of UQ College programs and student services, and adept at responding to enquiries from various stakeholders through multiple communication channels.
Efficient and detail-oriented, capable of escalating complex enquiries to relevant staff promptly and accurately, while managing client expectations regarding response times.
Organised and supportive, providing administrative assistance with student lifecycle activities, such as interviews, class allocations, and exam invigilation, ensuring smooth operations.
Diligent and collaborative, monitoring teachers' completion of class attendance rolls and liaising with them to ensure compliance with attendance requirements.
Analytical and proactive, producing student attendance reports, arranging attendance meetings, and updating student details in the Student Management System.
Helpful and versatile, assisting staff with general operational enquiries, including room bookings, access, and administrative tasks.
