The Role

In this position as the Senior Accountant, you will report to a knowledgeable and supportive Finance Manager. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

Preparing accurate and timely month-end reports

Process all month-end journals

Prepare all relevant balance sheet reconciliations

Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register

Handling tax compliance including GST, FBT, and Income Tax

Assisting with the budgeting processes. Tracking variances and liaising with / supporting budget holders.

Building and maintaining analytical tools and providing key financial metrics to the Finance Manager

Partnering closely with multiple stakeholders to support decision-making

Providing ad-hoc support to the CFO and Finance Manager as needed

Your Background

To be considered for this Senior Accountant role you must possess most of the following attributes:

Professionally qualified as an Accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)

Prior experience as a Financial Accountant performing full month-end duties is a pre-requisite

Excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Willingness to learn and take on tasks as they are requested

Experience working in a relatable professional environment would be preferred
