About the opportunity:
Position: Clinical Nurse
Vacancy: Permanent full-time
Location: Townsville Diabetes and Endocrine Centre
The service works closely with the general paediatric and adult endocrine departments of TUH, Queensland Children's Hospital and community organisations such as Queensland Education, Catholic Education, Independent Schools Queensland, and the Department of Child Safety.
The service is also a key partner of the Queensland Diabetes Clinical Network which provides expertise, direction and advice to healthcare administrators and planners, the Department of Health and government whilst considering both statewide and local issues.

Enjoy a generous remuneration package valued up to $132,289 p.a., including:
- Salary range: $107,960 to $115,604 p.a. (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements) with the Australian Diabetes's Educators Association.
- Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
- Experience in the education and support of patients with diabetes is essential particularly in relation to the use of insulin pump, CGM devices and relevant software.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
