Support with hands-on learning, assist in practical experiments, and ensure students have access to safe and well-maintained scientific equipment, fostering a dynamic and engaging educational experience.

This term time position is responsible for supporting teachers and the Laboratory Manager with the delivery of practical and inquiry-based education. Working Monday to Friday throughout term periods, the position incumbent of this role will also undertake duties across a few defined term break weeks and will be available to work occasional evening duties as required.

✅ YOU WILL
Prepare and set up for class practical experiments
Clean, store and maintain science laboratory equipment and facilities
Assist with stock control, stock takes and annual laboratory audits
Maintain safe storage and handling of chemicals
Assist with science week, competition, and excursion preparation
Provide appropriate technical advice and support to students and teachers

Working knowledge of science laboratory and chemical handling best practices
Demonstrated digital literacy, data entry and attention to detail
Service-oriented with strong communication and organisational skills
Tertiary qualifications in Science
Working with Children blue card or eligibility to obtain prior to commencement
