About the role
Mater Private Hospital Springfield has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse Unit Manager for our Cancer Care Centre! This role will be offered on a permanent full-time basis, 38 hours per week.
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will carry overall responsibility for the management of the unit. By providing a clear focus for clinical and operational leadership, the Nurse Unit Manager facilitates provision of a high standard of holistic patient/client centered care, to maximise effective management of clinical, financial, and human resources within a quality and risk management framework.
Salary range: $71.42 - $76.80 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Management of our MCCC in partnership with our medical, nursing and administrative teams
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for clinical service development and improvement in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services – Mater Private Springfield
- Developing, improving and monitoring systems and processes to ensure service is managed effectively and efficiently
- Professional line management of the nursing team
- Working closely with our Visiting Medical Officers to provide exceptional care for their patients This specialist team will see you managing an established team with highly experienced nursing staff, so you will need the ability to work with a diverse range of people in a range of specialties
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Your highly developed clinical and management leadership skills will see you leading the team, and your drive and innovative approach will see you further developing the modes of care to improve the experience and outcomes for patients
- Extensive experience within Oncology required and qualified to deliver oncology treatment
