About the role

Sustain Resource Management Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced HC Driver with a White Card to join our highly skilled trenching crew. This full-time role will have you mobilising and demobilising our machines. In addition to this you will be a part of a trenching crew, preparing trenches for utility and infrastructure throughout NSW and beyond. Most work will be remote. Accomodation will be provided to you in addition to an allowance for living away from home. Work roster is generally 20 days on and 8 days off

What you'll be doing

Mobilising and demobilising equipment from site to site

Assisting excavator operators and other heavy machinery to safely and efficiently dig trenches for the installation of underground conduit and cable

Assisting with general labouring duties such as laying pipe and associated activities

Performing routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to keep it in optimal working condition

Following all relevant safety procedures and environmental regulations

Providing support to the team as needed

What we're looking for

A valid HC driver's licence and the willingness to learn to operate heavy machinery such as excavators and trenchers

Proven experience as a labourer

An understanding of how to locate underground services and read DBYD plans is a major benefit

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety

Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider crew

Knowledge of civil construction site procedures and environmental regulations

Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

An interest in learning new skills
