Salary: $72,763 - $87,685 per annum + 11.5% super

The Asset Technical Officer role will play a key role in the management and upkeep of the City of Fremantle’s asset management system in relation to infrastructure, buildings and natural assets, with the goal of maximising their benefit to the community.
Key responsibilities include:
Assets will be responsible for the effective collection and recording of council’s asset condition and physical data across all asset classes ensuring asset data is maintained to a high level of accuracy.
The role assists in creating and upholding the City’s integrated strategic asset framework, contributing to a multidisciplinary team to ensure asset investment aligns with the City’s vision and strategic objectives.
The handling of customer inquiries, escalate high-risk issues, and provide practical recommendations to ensure public safety and asset sustainability.
Work closely with other City business units to collect maintenance and capital works data as part of project handovers and input correctly into the asset register.
This role offers the opportunity to prepare detailed reports, analysis and collaborate with various stakeholders.
The successful applicant will be self-motivated, detail focused with the ability to work independently in an inspection/field environment. Experience with the use of survey equipment and onsite data collection is desirable.
