Full Time Community Pharmacist / Pharmacist In Charge Position Available

AFS Friendly Pharmacies is committed to the advancement of the pharmacy profession towards full scope of practice and have commenced this journey with a service delivery focus across all pharmacies in the group.

We are currently seeking a driven and motivated Pharmacist In Charge to join a Rockhampton-based pharmacy group on a full time or part time basis. With 4 pharmacies across the Rockhampton area, you will become part of our friendly pharmacy team, involved in providing a great customer experience, quality healthcare services and focusing on achieving the best health outcomes for our customers.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Drive outstanding customer service through:

Being an accessible medication expert within the local community.

Vaccination services, DAA provision and other PPA services.

Dispensing and counselling.

Provide general leadership & support to the Pharmacy team including Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants.

Skills Required:

Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA).

Is a current pharmacist vaccinator (or is willing to be a pharmacist vaccinator), with a current first aid and CPR certificate.

Proven ability in people management within a community pharmacy setting.

Clear and friendly communication style.

Experience with various professional pharmacy services, including vaccinations, or a willingness to be trained in these areas.

Enjoys leading a professional pharmacy team, with the added autonomy to be responsible for the provision of professional services within their own workplace and the expansion of clinical services to meet the needs of the community.

Has excellent “customer relation” skills and is a very good communicator with a strong patient focus.

Has a “Friendly” demeanor and enjoys working within a relaxed environment.

Is committed to their ongoing professional development in line with the changing nature of community pharmacy.

Salary & Benefits:

Up to $65/hour (negotiable).

The roster may include weekends but is negotiable.

Rockhampton is situated on the coastal plain (30 minutes from the beach & Great Barrier Reef), on the Tropic of Capricorn in Queensland.

As a regional hub, Rockhampton has regular daily flights to/from capital cities etc, and enjoys a relaxed regional lifestyle where the cost of living is a lot lower than the capitals and “nowhere is far” in the city.
