ABOUT THE ROLE
The Site Manager’s role - 3 components:
1. Weekday warehouse based: ensuring that event infrastructure is clean and ready to roll out each week, undertaking maintenance and repairs where required, developing and issuing site plans and preparing for operational event days
2. Fridays at Franko: managing the event site, hands on erecting and installing infrastructure, rolling out power, leading the team of site crew + clean team, managing risk, coordinating Vendors, communicating with customers and problem solving
3. Sundays at Farmy: managing the event site, hands on erecting and installing infrastructure, rolling out power, undertaking road closures, leading the team of site crew, managing risk, coordinating Producers and being the public face of Farmy
The right candidate will take ownership of their role in managing all event site aspects.
Age and event experience is NO barrier to this role – it’s character, integrity, and drive week in, week out that defines the position.
Maturity, understanding risk, common sense, confidence, reliability, physical capability, integrity, and remaining highly organised are the key components to this role.
This position is NOT Mon – Fri, 9-5 in the office. You will be on the ground, hands on at the events every Friday and Sunday, in addition to cleaning and maintenance of infrastructure during the week.
Late finishes Friday night between December and April are part of this role.
As are weekly, early morning starts across the year i.e. 4.30AM start on Sundays.
A manual drivers license is required.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Reporting directly to the Event Manager, you will love an early start, be able to work outdoors, be physically fit, and LOVE interacting with people from all walks of life.
You are a highly organised, confident, operate with integrity, a people-person with a great deal of common-sense. You're able to provide direction to others, with a smile and positive attitude – that’s 98.8% of this role.
You are comfortable with customer interacting with customers and looking after Vendor operational needs.
In addition, you notice things like slips, trips and falls risks, rubbish on the ground, signs which can’t be read, bottlenecks on walkways, with your superb attention to detail. This is then actioned through to resolution and completion which draws on your problem solving abilities.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience:
Event experience specifically around site management and event operations is beneficial
Project management experience also beneficial
Must be able to demonstrate customer service experience
Highly organised with managing your own time
The ability to work to strict timelines/deadlines is essential
Experience managing a team - you’ll be managing both the small team of market crew, as well as coordinating over 60+ Producers
A sound understanding of managing and mitigating risk in a high volume, high risk event setting
Skills:
Excellent communication
Being able to work in AND lead a team
Confident and comfortable problem solving in real time
Positive, enthusiastic, and vibrant people – you will relish this role
Physically fit with fabulous stamina and able to lift 30kgs
Requirements:
You will need a manual drivers licence
While not a pre-requisite – accreditation in Traffic Management is an advantage

Be available to work Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays
DETAILS
Salary Position $74,228.00 + 12% Superannuation + Car Park
31 hours per week averaged across peak and off peak seasons
Thursday – warehouse/office
Fridays – onsite Franko during peak season/warehouse off peak season
Sundays – onsite Farm Gate Market
The position commences Thursday June 05, 2025
