This position is based on-site at our Head Office & Manufacturing facility in Port Melbourne, just moments from the CBD and West Gate Freeway.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Machine Operator, ideally with extrusion or similar experience, to join our manufacturing team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will have some relevant process operations experience, but equally important is your willingness and desire to learn and be a positive, key member of our high performing team.

The role will work a two-week roster pattern averaged over the fortnight:

four rotating 12 (11.4) hour shifts (6 to 6) worked across 4 days (Mon to Thurs)

This pattern is 76 ordinary hours, with 3.8 hours of required overtime a fortnight applied on the Thursday shift once ordinary hours have been reached.

*Until competent, you may be required to work only on day shift 6am-6pm before moving to rotating roster after competency.

What you will be doing:

Adhering to safety, quality, housekeeping & teamwork behaviours

Setting up, loading, and unloading extrusion lines making a range of flexible cables

Monitoring our extrusion lines - undertaking inline quality checks and reporting of any non-conformance.

Recording the extrusion process data in ERP systems/forms.

Troubleshooting on production machinery.

Making adjustments to ensure production targets are obtained and efficiency is continually improved.

Some manual handling, including lifting of cable and materials (up to 20kg) as required.

About you

If you have some experience as a Machine Operator in a dynamic manufacturing environment, or are keen to learn, hold a forklift licence, and are after a fresh challenge in 2025 with a stable, growing employer – then these are the opportunities for you!

To be successful you'll need:

A high safety, quality and ‘One Team’ commitment

Good teamwork and communication skills (written and verbal)

Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
