Brightscope HR is looking for Machine Operators to work either the AM or PM shift on a temp-to-perm basis in Mordialloc!

About the role:

1x day shift role available, 3x night shift roles available and 2x afternoon shift roles available

Day shift = Start 6am / Finish 2pm

Night shift = Start 10pm / Finish 6am

Afternoon shift = Start 2pm / Finish 10pm

*Schedule will change in July: 12 hour shifts, 2 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on*

Duties include but not limited:

• Will be required to operate various lines within the manufacturing plant including: Extrusion line, Shredding/washing line & Bagging line.
• Will be operating forklifts around machinery for loading and movement of finished products.
• Will be required to manually feed recycled plastic feedstock into shredder/washing machine (with aid of forklift and other hand tools)
• Will be required to read and operate machine line controls of both extrusion and shredding lines (training provided)
• Will have to operate bagging machine filling bags with finished plastic product, label and move for storage (using forklift)
• Must be willing to move around to assist each department as necessary.
• Will be responsible for general cleaning and maintenance of area in which to operate to ensure smooth operation of extrusion and shredding lines(as required)
• Will be required to assist with fault finding, trouble shooting, and repair of faulty machines along with basic machinery maintenance (full training provided)

To be considered for this role:

• Good work ethic and a positive attitude
• Machine operation experience (extruder, shredder or bagging machine operation is highly desirable)
• Forklift licence + experience (approx. 1 year )
• Strong OH&S mindset and willing to speak up
• Able to work autonomously and part of a team
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Physically fit and capable of manual duties including moderate to heavy lifting. 20kg max
• Own car and licence
