Due to continued growth and advancement, they have an opportunity for an Electrical Technician to join the team at their Craigieburn manufacturing plant in a full-time permanent capacity.
About the Role
Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, as an Electrical Technician, the main objective of the role is to electrically maintain, service and repair plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations with a focus on upholding safety and maximising production in the electrical operations of the manufacturing facility.
As this is a well-maintained site it is imperative to be able to achieve objectives, encompassing safety, maintenance, continued production, and service quality.
The main areas of responsibility are, but not limited to, that the site is fully health, safety and environmentally compliant at all times, the ongoing preventative electrical maintenance of all plant and equipment, resolve operational or equipment problems safely and diligently and work well as a valued member of the site maintenance team.
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:00pm
Core responsibilities
Complete day to day and preventative electrical maintenance activities ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
Ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and ensure all company & site compliance policies are followed when maintaining or repairing equipment and machines.
Understand and ensure work complies with management system documentation as required (HACCAP, Safety & Quality.)
Maintain an effective preventative electrical maintenance program for the plant and its equipment.
Promote a preventative maintenance focused culture by completing tasks assigned on a basis of priority.
Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements, company policy and statutory regulations.
Maintain Instrument calibrations for process equipment and ensure instrument accuracy and reliability.
Provide immediate response to all breakdown’s whist focusing on reduction of downtime and record and reorder spare parts as consumed.
Skills & Experience
Must have manufacturing, maintenance and fault-finding experience
Electrical trade qualifications with a with a E Class electrical licence
5+ years’ experience and knowledge of workings in a manufacturing or Industrial environment or operation.
Good knowledge and experience in variable speed drives
Knowledge and expertise in safety procedures and processes
PLC & general control wiring fault finding experience.
Excellent communication and organisational skills with good computer literacy.
Physically fit, enthusiastic, and a great attitude
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment.
Work autonomously with ease and thrives in pressure situations.
