PortxGroup is a rapidly evolving provider of products and services to Container Terminals and the Logistics Industry.

We are currently expanding our Container Crane Maintenance team and are seeking Victoria licensed Electricians to join our fast-growing team based at our depot in West Melbourne.

Due to the nature of our current contract, you will spend most of your time in Mechanical duties more than Electrical. Candidates with some VSD (Variable Speed Drive) and PLC (Programable Logic Controller) experience will be prioritised.

Key Responsibilities

· Carry out maintenance repairs and modifications on Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (RMG), Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTG), Spreaders and other plant and equipment

· Perform regular maintenance inspections of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment

· Rebuild, replace or repair major equipment components, assemblies and systems

· Maintain and update records of work performed on equipment in order to track service history

· Correct unsafe conditions and housekeeping problems in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately

· Operate tools, equipment and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures

· Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties

· Respond to work request in a timely manner as per assigned KPIs

About you

· Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a valid VIC Electrical license

· Current driver's license

· High Risk License EWP and Forklift

· PLC Experience or FMCG industry (desirable)

· VSD Experience (desirable)

· Hydraulic experience (desirable)

· Working at heights is a necessity.
