What You’ll Be Doing:
As an Outreach Case Officer, you’ll be at the frontline of support – walking alongside people doing it tough. You’ll use your empathy, problem-solving skills and resilience to help clients navigate complex challenges like homelessness, child protection involvement, trauma, and systemic barriers.
Here’s a sneak peek at your day-to-day:
Connect with individuals and families and build strong, trusting relationships
Carry out assessments and develop personalised, client-led case plans
Help clients access safe, sustainable housing and support services
Provide practical and emotional support with care, respect, and compassion
Work with a range of services and stakeholders to get the best outcomes
Keep records and documentation on point and aligned with our processes
Be a key player in our positive, inclusive, and passionate team culture
What You Bring to the Table: please address the following in your Cover Letter
Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant equivalent experience.
A solid understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness or navigating child protection systems
Skills in trauma-informed, person-centred practice and case management
Confidence to navigate tough conversations and advocate for your clients
An ability to interpret and understand Government legislation, policies and practices impacting service development and delivery, including knowledge of the child protection system.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience in crisis accommodation or social housing and asset management
Familiarity with community-based service delivery models
A knack for interpreting policy and legislation that affects vulnerable people
The ability to juggle competing priorities while staying calm under pressure
