We are seeking a Business Services Intermediate Accountant to join our team of professionals based in Liverpool NSW. We offer a wide range of business advisory/consultancy, taxation and accounting services for a diverse client base.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, SMSF’s and small to medium sized businesses

Review of client records for BAS/IAS preparation

Assist Partners in providing business taxation advice to clients, including tax planning, budgeting and cash flow forecasts

Liaising with various statutory authorities – ATO, ASIC, Revenue NSW on behalf of clients

Identifying and resolving accounting and taxation issues within client base, identifying ongoing taxation compliance

The role offers the candidate the opportunity to take on a wide range and variety of accounting and taxation work for our clients.

Various ongoing internal and external learning and training opportunities will be provided by the Practice to maintain your continuing professional development compliance.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have:

Minimum 3 experience in a Public Practice, tax and accounting compliance and business services for individuals, superannuation funds and small to medium sized businesses

A degree qualification in Tax, Accounting or a related field

Be CA/CPA qualified or be studying towards same

Excellent communication and proven relationship building skills

Have a sound knowledge, understanding and practical application of Australian income taxation for a diverse client base

A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Strong computing and Excel skills, experience with MYOB AE and Class (SMSF Accounting) an advantage

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Resident status.
