About the Position

As the Facilities Manager, your primary focus will be overseeing the Facilities Management tasks including repairs & maintenance and compliance of the Property Management portfolio. Your role extends to preparing tender documents for contracted service provisions, managing building access and security systems and conducting site visits.

You will work closely with Property Managers, Associate Property Managers & Trust Accountants as well as building contractors.

Key responsibilities will be:

Property Compliance (e.g. asbestos, fire, air conditioning, lifts etc)

Prepare tender documents for contracted service provisions

Attend Industry functions

Manage Phone & Email Enquiries

Provide input into facilities team systems and processes

Maintain process and procedure manuals for FM

Manage defect reports, water treatment reports, and thermal-scans

Arrange key cutting and security

Organise quotes for building repairs with multiple contractors

Program building access passes

Monthly review of service contract database

Assist the Operations department with adhoc administrative tasks

This position will be well suited to someone with a strong background in Facilities Management, including:

At least 3 years experience working as a property manager, facilities manager or coordinator, project manager or similar role

Working knowledge of ACT legislation relevant to this role

Intermediate user of Google Suite

Ability to build strong and effective relationships

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Decision making, problem solving & conflict resolution skills

Sound numeracy skills

Neat personal presentation

Must have a current drivers license and own a reliable and presentable vehicle
