Their cloud-based platform supports thousands of students and educators, and with rapid growth underway, they’re looking to expand their DevOps capability to maintain platform reliability, support seamless onboarding, and drive operational excellence.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining system health, supporting onboarding processes, and resolving technical issues escalated from support or project teams. This hybrid role blends second-level technical support, Azure cloud operations, and platform configuration work—ideal for someone early in their DevOps career looking to build hands-on experience in a dynamic SaaS environment.

You’ll work closely with the DevOps Lead, engineering team, and customer support to ensure schools are onboarded smoothly, integrations function correctly, and the platform remains stable and optimised.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Investigate and resolve technical issues related to performance, integrations, SSO, or infrastructure.
• Monitor system health using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Respond to alerts and participate in root cause analysis and ongoing improvement.
• Assist with onboarding new schools, including SSO setup and SIS integration configuration.
• Support CI/CD deployments and basic Azure infrastructure operations.
• Contribute to documentation and collaborate across DevOps, Product Ops, and Support teams

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Basic understanding of Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
• Familiarity with authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth) and SSO configuration.
• Exposure to Student Information Systems (SIS) or data integrations.
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and basic debugging.
• Comfort with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) and version control (e.g., Git).
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to communicate clearly with internal teams.
• Organised, eager to learn, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
