Network Coordinator – Community House Network Southern Region (CHNS)
Part-time | 25 hrs/week | SCHADS Award Level 6 | Flexible location + travel required

Community House Network Southern Region (CHNS) is seeking a capable and community-minded Network Coordinator to support the operations of our Network and the delivery of our Strategic Plan. CHNS represents 72 Neighbourhood Houses and Community Centres across South East Melbourne and the Bayside Peninsula.
This role is ideal for a proactive individual with experience in the Neighbourhood House or community development sector who thrives in a flexible, autonomous role.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting member Houses with governance, administration, and compliance requirements
Assisting in the coordination and delivery of training, professional development, and network events
Responding to resource requests and maintaining communication platforms (e-Bulletins, social media, website)
Preparing reports, grant applications, and supporting funding submissions
Facilitating networking activities and building relationships across the CHNS region
Working alongside the Network Manager to support strategic goals and regional priorities
About you:
You are an organised, self-directed professional who understands the Neighbourhood House sector and values inclusive, grassroots community development.
You will bring:
Strong administration, communication, and time management skills
Demonstrated experience in group facilitation and stakeholder engagement
A practical understanding of governance, risk management, and sector compliance
Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital tools
The ability to work independently and collaboratively across a wide geographical area
Essential Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Community Development or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Current Police Check and Working with Children Check
Victorian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid working rights
