About the role

Midway Road Community House Inc. is seeking an experienced and passionate Community Development Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Elizabeth East, SA. This is a part-time role (27-30 hours per week) that will play a crucial part in driving positive change and supporting our local community.

What you'll be doing

Developing, coordinating and delivering community-driven programs and initiatives that address identified needs and priorities

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local residents, community groups, government agencies and other service providers

Facilitating community engagement activities and events to encourage participation and foster a sense of belonging

Researching, analysing and reporting on community trends, issues and opportunities to inform the organisation's strategic direction

Securing funding and resources to sustain and expand community programs and services

Recruiting, training and managing volunteers to support the delivery of community initiatives

Promoting the organisation's activities and services to raise awareness and increase accessibility

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualifications in community development, social work, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar community development or social services role

Demonstrated ability to engage and empower diverse community groups

Strong project management and event organisation skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively

Sound understanding of community development principles and practices

Proficient in data analysis and report writing

Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of individuals and communities
