This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established shipbuilding company. Our shipyard has several large workshops, an abrasive blasting shed and a large tonnage slipway. We work on ships, ferries, barges, boats, yachts and pontoons.

THE JOB

As a Marine Electrician, you will undertake installation, maintenance and repair works on new builds and existing vessels. You will also be required to assist with site repairs and maintenance to our buildings, plant, and equipment. Heavy industrial electricians are also encouraged to apply.

JOB TASKS

• Undertake electrical work on vessels, buildings, plant, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and undertake repairs
• Use electrical tools
• Operate equipment safely and according to WH&S requirements.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Licenced Marine Electrician
• High Voltage, Low Voltage, PLC, and automation
• At least three years of full-time work experience in vessel construction and repair or equivalent in heavy industrial electrical
• Experience working on both aluminium and steel vessels desired but not essential.
• Able to work in a team and meet deadlines
• Punctual and reliable
• Experience working at heights
• Holder of Confined Spaces certificate (or be willing to obtain one prior to or shortly after employment)
