About the role

We are seeking passionate and caring Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis in Canberra, ACT. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live independently and participate fully in their communities. This is a flexible, casual role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Facilitating community access and participation, including accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and running errands

Providing emotional support and encouraging clients to develop their independence and life skills

Monitoring and reporting on clients' wellbeing and any changes in their needs

Collaborating with the wider care team to ensure the delivery of individualised, person-centred support

What we're looking for

A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities

Experience working in the disability or aged care sector, or a strong desire to work in this field

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients

A commitment to upholding the rights, dignity, and independence of people with disabilities

A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport (desirable)
