We are in the market for a self-motivated and experienced individual who is able to lead a team in providing efficient and effective regular maintenance to the streetscapes, parks and reserves within the City of Mandurah.   • You lead the team in providing streetscapes, parks and gardens maintenance tasks including:
  • Liaising with the Supervisor to implement a regular gardening schedule.
  • Implementing correct signage when operating roadside.
  • Being accountable for quality and standard of work performance, including productivity and safety.
  • You ensure the proper operation and security of materials, plant and equipment.
  • You undertake daily regular maintenance and safety inspections of tools and machinery.
  • You are skilled in traffic management.
  • You provide on the job training and guidance to employees under supervision.

What can you bring to the team?

  • Certificate III or IV in Horticulture or Turf Management or equivalent.
  • Three to five years’ experience of developing and maintaining streetscapes, parks and reserves.
  • Previous experience supervising employees and conducting practical staff training.
  • Practical experience with horticultural machinery, mowers, and relevant equipment.
  • Current unrestricted MR (Medium Rigid) class national drivers’ licence.
  • Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and other electronic devices.
  • Current White Card.
  • Current Basic First Aid Certificate.
  • Current Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) and Traffic Controller Certificate.
  • As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to participate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.

This permanent full time OSE 4 position attracts a salary range of $76,368 to $79,093 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. The position is based at the City’s Southern Operations Centre, Country Club Drive, Dawesville. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
