About the Role
We are seeking applications for the full-time 12 month term role of Staging Administration & Rostering Officer. This is an exciting role providing superior service and duty of care to hirers and staff by administering a fair and equitable, skill based rostering system (through Deputy rostering system) to a large and diverse team of Staging Department staff.
You will also provide administrative support to the Staging Department through the processing of timesheets and assisting with Finance One and general administrative tasks.
In this role you will:
Roster and coordinate small to large teams of Staging Technicians working in multiple venues and roles in a high- pressure, hands-on team environment.
Ensure fair and equitable, skill-based rostering is carried out for all Staging staff for activities within the Centre, or as required according to guidelines, policies and procedures.
Assist the Manager – Staging with the delivery of, and participation in, and scheduling of Team Members for appropriate training and development programs. This will include PSU Trainees and Staging Technicians.
Maintain QPAC’s equipment hire and Staging Databases
Assist Staging Technicians with Production meetings with clients as required to gather scheduling, equipment, and staffing requirements for events.
Assist with the administrative functions and requirements of the Staging team.
Other duties as required from time to time in other areas of the Production Services Unit to meet operational requirements.
Help maintain the daily operations of the department and organization by providing employees with administrative support and supplies to help them accomplish their tasks.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
Ability to effectively roster a large number of full-time, part-time and casual staff across a diverse range of positions in a multi venue environment.
High standard of written and oral communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a broad range of people.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a computerised roster system, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or aptitude to learn.
Demonstrated high level of organisational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to exercise initiative and judgement.
High degree of focus on delivering quality customer service.
Demonstrated understanding of processes and roles involved in Theatre Technical production.
