We're seeking a System Administrator to join the Land Network Integration Centre (LNIC), supporting the Australian Army in its mission to integrate cutting-edge digital systems across Land, Joint, and Coalition forces. This hands-on technical role is crucial in maintaining and evolving the Land Combat Systems (LCS) Support Environment - a complex infrastructure used to test, experiment, and validate defence technologies and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of virtualised and physical infrastructure
• Configuration, change, and availability management of LCS environments
• Maintain system security through patching, monitoring, and risk analysis
• Install and administer military software on both Windows and Linux servers
• Produce technical documentation, training materials, and configuration records
• Train end users and provide ongoing environment support
• Support project planning, infrastructure upgrades, and capability expansion
• Offer expert advice to ADF, APS, and Defence Industry stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience:

• VMware ESXi & vCenter (v6.5+)
• Windows Server 2016, Active Directory, Group Policy
• Endpoint Security, SOE Management, and Backup Solutions
• Hyper Converged Infrastructure
• Network Monitoring and Vulnerability Scanning Tools
• Strong experience in managing secure ICT environments
• Must be based in Canberra

Desirable:

• 10+ years' experience in Defence or secure ICT environments
• Familiarity with ADF tactical networks and systems (e.g., JP2221-1, EDLAN)
• Experience supporting integration across strategic and operational levels
