What You’ll be doing:

In this role you will hold critical responsibility for leading all facets of operational service delivery within the Rural Fire District,
often in high pressure and politically sensitive environments. This includes the coordination and support of the Districts highly valued volunteer workforce, ensuring effective, timely, and community focused emergency response.
To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong local stakeholder relationships while delivering exceptional customer service and operational outcomes meeting community needs.
  • Proven leadership skills fostering teamwork and unity to build a resilient, high performing teams aligned with RFS Values and community expectations.
  • Well developed emergency management expertise, supported by relevant qualifications and practical experience in managing critical incidents and supporting community resilience efforts.

The roles are at NSW RFS Level 10/11, with a remuneration package up to $156,524. Package includes salary ($127,391 - $140,380 p.a), employer's superannuation contribution and annualised leave loading. In addition to annual salary, this role also attracts an Annual Conditions Allowance (ACA) of up to 15%. The commencing salary will be considered in alignment with skills and experience.
