About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate, organised, and student-focused individual to join our team as a Student Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will play a key role in enhancing the student experience through academic support, engagement initiatives, and community partnerships.
This is a full-time position based in Warwick, supporting regional students studying at any Australian university.
The role requires a high level of flexibility to respond to the changing operational needs of the Centre. Responsibilities range from coordinating day-to-day activities to undertaking routine administrative and support tasks in a team environment. No two days are the same — this role combines academic support with general administrative and operational duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one academic mentoring, including support with study skills, referencing, writing, and assessments.
Deliver workshops, group study sessions, and engagement activities to promote student success.
Identify students at risk and provide appropriate interventions and referrals.
Collaborate with universities, local industries, and community stakeholders to deliver education and career initiatives.
Represent CUC Southern Downs at community events to build awareness and engagement.
Assist with project coordination, evaluation, and reporting requirements.
Undertake day-to-day administrative and support tasks to ensure the Centre runs smoothly.
Monitor and report on student engagement, project deliverables, and feedback.
Maintain a safe, compliant, and welcoming learning environment for all Centre users.
About You:
You will be a confident communicator who is passionate about supporting students and regional education. You will have:
An undergraduate degree.
Recent university-level study experience with strong academic results, or relevant experience in student support services.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Experience delivering presentations and facilitating group sessions.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general data reporting.
A current driver’s licence and a valid Blue Card (or ability to obtain one).
Desirable:
Experience in a similar role in education or student services.
First Aid Certificate or Mental Health First Aid Certificate.
Familiarity with Xero financial software and WordPress.
