Labourplus Security is seeking a dynamic and driven HR Manager to join our team and oversee generalist HR operations across our labour hire workforce. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring HR compliance, supporting our people and clients, and driving a culture of professionalism and performance.
💡 About the Role
In this hands-on and varied role, you’ll be the go-to for all HR-related matters including onboarding, employee relations, policy development, and compliance. You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager, support our host clients, and guide internal HR staff, playing a central part in shaping a positive workplace culture aligned with our values.
This is a part-time position (3–4 days per week) with negotiable working days, perfect for professionals seeking work-life balance without compromising on influence or responsibility.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end HR support across onboarding, ER/IR, and performance management.
Manage complaints, disciplinary processes, grievances, and terminations.
Ensure all HR policies and practices comply with legislation and internal standards.
Mentor and support HR admin staff and guide host clients on HR best practice.
Monitor compliance with employment laws, visa conditions, and EBAs.
Analyse HR data, report trends, and recommend solutions to leadership.
Support enterprise agreement negotiations and related communications.
Collaborate with stakeholders to drive a culture of professionalism and respect.
✅ What You’ll Need
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
At least 5 years’ experience in HR, ideally within labour hire or the security sector.
Strong understanding of employment law, ER/IR legislation, and HR compliance.
Proven ability to coach and lead others with professionalism and integrity.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail, discretion with sensitive information, and a proactive mindset.
Comfort with HR software and internal business systems.
