Description

• Oversee and manage clients general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, BAS and taxes.
• Managing client accounts of varying sizes, you will be in charge of all communications and finance services.
• Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and statements for management review.
• Collaborate with external auditors when required.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• Support the team with the annual audit process.
• Manage and mentor members of the accounting team.
• Ensure compliance with the law and company's policies.

Profile

A successful Senior Bookkeeper should have:

• A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• BAS Agent certification.
• Proven experience as a Finance Officer.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting software, corporate governance issues and procedures.
• Excellent numeracy skills with an ability to spot errors.
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
• Exceptional organisational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
