Our ideal candidate will:
Demonstrate high level competencies in the provision of training and development initiatives within an ageing in place environment.
Exceptional knowledge of contemporary ethical issues that impact older persons care and Gerontological nursing practice including dementia and behavioural issues.
Extensive knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
Clinical expertise and genuine passion to enhance opportunity and drive excellence in clinical care through learning and education together with the ability to develop training resources to support same
Proven experience to promote and foster self-initiative and development through innovative learning.
Experience in development of and delivery of training through face to face and online learning platforms
Exceptional people skills embracing diversity and promoting groups and individuals that fosters an ethos of respect, dignity, and privacy.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) including the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders both internal and external including older persons and their families

The Education and Training Manager provides coordination and facilitation of education and training programs and resource development for both mandatory and professional development training requirements for all facets of the organisation.
This position will support participants to maximise their learning journeys to ensure compliance and support development and achievement of outcomes.
The Education and Training Manager is required to use their clinical expertise to coach, mentor and support the clinical and care teams to ensure clinical outcomes are achieved through the delivery of education and training programs that reflect strategic needs and context.
The Education and Training Manager will be required to identify learning and development needs and opportunities for the team and coordinate the effective design, development and review of learning and development packages including all mandatory training resources.
This position will additionally be required to develop participant engagement strategies to enhance learning opportunities for the leadership cohort through structured high quality leadership education programs and actively promote and encourage participation.
This position involves identifying training needs, creating learning materials, delivering programs, monitors outcomes, provides feedback, and makes recommendations for improvements.
