iCARE Youth and Community Services Pty Ltd is a dedicated NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) registered provider, and a provider of residential placements for the Department of Children and Families in the Northern Territory (NT). Our core mission revolves around providing essential care and support services to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their well-being, independence, and inclusion within the community. Our service offerings encompass a wide range of NDIS-approved supports, including accommodation, therapy, and community access programs, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual we serve.

Due to an increase in demand for our services, we have ongoing multiple-positions available for this role in Tennant Creek, NT.

Position Description

You will provide routine personal care services to people in a range of health care facilities or in a person's home.

Tasks include:

(a) Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
(b) Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
(c) Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
(d) assisting patients with their personal care needs such as showering, dressing and eating
(e) assisting patients with their mobility and communication needs
(f) participating in planning the care of individuals
(g) following therapy plans such as interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioural problems
(h) observing and reporting changes in patients' condition, and reporting complaints about care
(i) assisting with rehabilitation exercises, basic treatment and delivering medications
(j) providing direct support and assistance to therapists

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, the ideal candidate must have/be willing to obtain the following:

Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II and one year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience or

Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III with relevant post qualification work experience of at least one year (minimum 20 hours plus per week) or

Have at least one year of relevant full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience

Current National Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
First Aid Certificate
Availability to work across a 24/7 Roster to meet operational needs
NT Driver's Licence
