Primary Responsibilities:

• Managing all inbound and outbound Local loads, including planning of equipment and rostering of drivers.
• Support with linehaul and local operations.
• Roster management of drivers ensuring fatigue is managed.
• Proactively communicating with customers to provide ETAs and delays.
• Ability to work from the customer site based in Tennyson for one day each week. (Every Thursday)
• Booking in timeslots with respective sites for pick up / delivery.
• Creating bookings, allocating and manifesting for all loads ex. QLD through our Transport Management System – Freight 2020.
• Data recording for invoicing purposes.
• Preparing appropriate delivery paperwork (e.g Consignment Notes).
• Retaining and collecting all load delivery paperwork for administration to process.
• Ensuring vehicles standards are maintained in coordination with our Fleet Department.
• Managing customer relationships and being the key point of contact for our customer, this includes after hours calls for escaltions.
• Managing the driver group ensuring they are meeting the standards of our customers and are operating safely in line with NHVL.
• Managing Carriers Compliance operating safely in line with NHVL.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within the operation and reviewing our internal processes to drive change.
• Assisting S&C in the process of hiring new drivers.
• Closing out any Non-Conformances raised, both internal and external with the involvement of the Safety and Compliance Manager as necessary.
• Training of new staff.
